Honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had, even comparing to Michelin restaurants. The course menu was perfect from start to finish, you get to enjoy a variety of flavours and textures, not a single course fails to impress you. One place I’ll miss the most from Warwick.

Stumbled upon the place early around 6pm, and although fully booked, Gerald gave us a table and made us feel most welcome, and fed us the most amazing 5 course menu.

What an absolute gem of a place. The food is incredible, no set menu, you just get what's on offer.

We had gazpacho with burrata, followed by Serrano ham and beans- cannot describe how delicious it was, then prawns, then ribeye with spanakopita ( think that's the correct spelling) and it was a taste sensation, and dessert was a simple ice cream with toffee vodka- simple but tasty.

We went to La Mesa last night and all I can say is WOW!!

The food was delicious- five courses with the most exquisite flavour combinations, the wine was fab as recommended by our lovely waitress Sarah Jayne and the ambiance was unique created by the unique chef patron Gerald.

All in all a great meal and experience- can’t recommend it enough. Go!!

Myself and my husband went to La Mesa for the 7th time last night to celebrate our anniversary, once again we had a wonderful time and a fabulous tasty meal. It is a small cosy, subtly lit restaurant, giving it a lovely intimate feel. Gerald and his staff are so very relaxed and welcoming, full of humour and charm. The 6 course taster menu is chosen by Gerald, each course was incredibly tasty and beautifully presented with a surprising twist in the flavours . The food has a mediterranean, Spanish feel, all with his own creative slant added . The food is cooked from a tiny kitchen at the back which is visible from the restaurant, the service is very attentive and friendly and it makes for a different feel to many places, bringing back memories of holidays. Although it is a taster menu, there is a lot to eat so you will certainly not go home hungry, but you will go home happy and like us I'm sure you'll go back many times.

An outstanding experience. We sent an email to Chef Gerald at 3:00 pm and due to a cancellation, we got a table, normally a 2-6 week wait. A cozy place with seating for 19. We enjoyed a six course meal of the chef’s choosing and each course was delicious. Gerald and his staff were super friendly and when he found out I was part Irish… a fun time.
